Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy also serves as our SMS Terms as required by U.S. mobile carrier rules. SMS-specific terms appear in Section 3.
Serenus Tech LLC ("Serenus Tech," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit our website at serenustech.com, contact us, or interact with the SMS-based lead-intake services we operate on behalf of our clients.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Information you provide directly. When you contact us by email or schedule a consultation, we collect your name, email address, business name, and any other information you choose to share.
- Information collected through our SMS lead-intake service. When you call or text a phone number operated by Serenus Tech (or by a Serenus Tech client using our service), we collect your phone number and the content of the SMS messages you send. The service may also collect information you voluntarily provide in response to qualification questions, including your name, address, the nature of your service request, and the urgency of your inquiry. Inbound voice calls trigger an automated SMS response; we do not record, transcribe, or store call audio. If we introduce voice recording or transcription in the future, we will update this Policy and provide an in-call disclosure before any recording begins.
- Website usage information. We do not use first-party advertising cookies or third-party analytics on serenustech.com. Our hosting, font, and scheduling providers (see Section 5) may collect standard technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps — needed to operate, secure, and deliver the site.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries you initiate.
- Operate the SMS lead-intake service, including qualifying your service request and routing it to the appropriate business operator.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. SMS Communications
By texting a phone number operated by Serenus Tech, or by calling a phone number that triggers an automated SMS response, you acknowledge and consent to the following:
- How consent is captured. Consent to receive SMS messages from Serenus Tech is established when you initiate contact by calling or texting a phone number we operate. Where a phone number may trigger an automated SMS response, we require the surface displaying that number, or the call/SMS flow itself, to disclose that contacting the number may result in automated SMS messages.
- Scope of messages. We do not currently send promotional or marketing SMS messages. We send only transactional messages related to inquiries you have initiated, such as qualification questions, confirmations, and follow-up about a lead you submitted. If we introduce additional message categories in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain any additional consent required by law.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the qualification flow. A typical inquiry concludes within a small number of message exchanges.
- Opt-out and revocation. You may stop receiving messages by replying STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE, or by contacting us at info@serenustech.com. We will honor opt-out requests within a reasonable time and no later than 10 business days. We may send one non-promotional confirmation message confirming your opt-out.
- Help. Reply HELP at any time for assistance.
- Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply. Serenus Tech is not responsible for any charges assessed by your carrier.
- Carrier disclaimer. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, including delays or non-delivery caused by your wireless carrier.
- No sale or marketing-share of mobile data. We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in data, consent records, or mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with service providers, carriers, aggregators, and the business operator you contacted only as needed to deliver the service you requested.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to deliver our services, satisfy the purpose for which it was collected, and comply with our legal obligations. As general guidance:
- Email and consultation inquiries: retained for up to 24 months from the last interaction, unless you ask us to delete sooner.
- SMS phone numbers, message content, and lead summaries: retained for up to 12 months from the close of the inquiry, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, or carrier-compliance reasons.
- Call metadata (timestamps, phone numbers, durations) collected by our voice provider: retained according to that provider's retention defaults; we do not maintain separate copies.
- Server and security logs: retained for short rolling windows by our hosting and infrastructure providers as needed for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
Where lead summaries are forwarded to a business operator, that operator becomes an independent recipient of the lead and is responsible for how it stores, uses, and deletes that information under its own privacy practices.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party service providers to operate our services. These providers process information under their own terms, contracts, and privacy policies, including for purposes such as service delivery, hosting, routing, security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, billing, and legal compliance:
- Twilio Inc. — voice and SMS infrastructure (twilio.com/legal/privacy).
- OpenRouter, Inc. — large-language-model API gateway (openrouter.ai/privacy). OpenRouter routes requests to upstream model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others). Each upstream provider has its own retention and training policies, which we evaluate when selecting models for a given workload.
- Netlify, Inc. — static website hosting (netlify.com/privacy).
- Cal.com, Inc. — consultation scheduling (cal.com/privacy).
- Google LLC — web fonts loaded by the website (policies.google.com/privacy).
6. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We may disclose information:
- To the business operator on whose behalf we are providing the lead-intake service, limited to information reasonably necessary to fulfill the service request.
- To service providers as described in Section 5.
- As required by law, court order, or in response to a lawful government request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Serenus Tech, our clients, or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of business assets, or similar transaction, in which case personal information may be transferred to the successor entity subject to this Policy or a successor policy with comparable protections.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, port, or delete information we hold about you, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@serenustech.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 days for U.S. state privacy laws). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws should also see Section 9.
9. U.S. State Privacy Rights
This section provides additional information for residents of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others.
Categories of information we collect. Within the past 12 months we may have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number); commercial information (records of inquiries and consultations); internet or other electronic network activity information (technical information collected by our hosting and infrastructure providers, as described in Section 1); and inferences drawn from the above to qualify and route inquiries.
Sources. We collect this information directly from you, from your interactions with our SMS and voice intake services, and from our service providers listed in Section 5.
Purposes. We use this information for the purposes described in Section 2.
Disclosure. We disclose information only as described in Section 6. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted under California law without offering a right to limit. We do not knowingly process the personal information of consumers under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising or sale.
Your rights. Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may have the right to: (a) know or access the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your information; (d) opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not engage in either); (e) limit the use of sensitive personal information; (f) data portability; and (g) be free from retaliation for exercising your rights. To submit a request, email info@serenustech.com. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have substantially similar rights under their own statutes. Contact us at the address above to exercise them, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. We will post the updated Policy on this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of our services after the Effective date of a revision indicates that you are aware of the updated Policy.
